Reasons to Choose Granite Countertops
Quartzite countertops are a great alternative to those who would prefer the natural look of marble, but need the durability of granite. Slabs can vary quite a bit depending on their mineral composition, but you can expect very dramatic patterns, depth or natural color from each slab. Quartzite is extremely hard, harder than granite, and can handle all kitchen activity. Scratches are less likely to occur, and if they do, the natural patterns and veining makes for a easy cover up. An easy to clean material with a high heat resistance, Quartzite’s crystalline sparkle transforms applications, such as kitchen countertops, work surfaces, tables and feature walls into functional and classy showpieces.
Unmatched Beauty. Minimal Care.
While strong and durable, quartzite is not indestructible. Sealing is recommended at the time of installation and should be re-applied at least once a year. Cutting boards and potholders are also recommended as extreme use could damage the seal, and possibly the stone surface as well. As with all natural stone surfaces, liquid spills should be wiped up as soon as possible to avoid staining.
